About SSIU

Sustainability and Strategic Initiatives Unit (SSIU) is a specialised team within the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada (FEB UGM), which focuses on integrating sustainability principles and strategic plans into the faculty’s education, research, and community services. We formulate guidelines for sustainability practices in accordance with mission, vision, and strategic plans of FEB UGM. We measure and monitor the implementation of sustainability practices, prepare sustainability reports, and recommend innovations for continuous improvements. The unit aims to promote a culture of sustainability, social responsibility, and environmental stewardship within the faculty and the broader community under a Sustainable Business School Framework (SBSF).

The Sustainable Business School Framework (SBSF) is a leading initiative that assesses the sustainability performance of business schools across three pivotal dimensions: education, research, and community engagement. By emphasizing these distinct yet interconnected perspectives, SBSF fosters a collaborative approach among stakeholders within business schools to embed sustainability principles on campus.
